Thanks. I’ll check that out. I know it’s not WW2, but if you’ve never read “Warbirds. Diary of an Unknown Avaitor” do so. It’s the diary of an American WW1 pilot. Haunting is the best word I can think of. I read it 3 times when I was younger. I’m about to read it again.

Mine was probably one of the books in the Time-life series published about WWII.

Same, my Great-Grandfather had a bunch of those Time-life books that he gave to me.

I bet, many of you are like me, I grew up reading the Bantam WWII series of books. I starting looking at the number of books produced and realized how many i have not read.

What is your favorite? I love Iron Coffins, Samurai & Company Commander.

I really liked Army at Dawn, still haven’t read Day of Battle but will eventually.
