Personally, I prefer MB GameMaster Edition.

@thrasher1 Well the mental aptitude on the architecture of the spaces saves alot of time. I can balance the game really well if alot of the homework is done already. 1942.2 has a better layout than probably every AA game. I didn’t used to think that, but over time yes. The sea zones would be empty space, and every land area a star system, and i would consult actual star systems using England as “Sol” system

Re: Shogun. Yes the first incarnation was Shogun. Got that one.
Then it was re-released as Samurai Swords. Wish I had bought an extra copy. Then later: Ikusa.Personally I do not think that last one is a ‘strong’ name.

@thrasher1 Which ever direction the project takes, the warships need to be : Mothership /Deadnought, Battleship, Battlecruiser, Carrier, Light Carrier, Heavy Cruiser, Destroyer, Submarine?, Transport, Fighter, Bomber

Not all have Axis and Allies equivalents. But yes, I think a Space Game of A&A complexity would have been a very nice member of the Gamemaster Series family. You probably are familiar with the Buck Rogers: Battle for the 25th Century game? https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/548/buck-rogers-battle-25th-century-game This REALLY is almost like a sixth Gamemaster Series game… (David, if this gets to much removed from Axis and Allies Classic then please move this discussion to a place more suitalble :) )

@thrasher1 I got that game, not a fan. It needs to be just like AA…but in SPACE

Re: Buck Rogers we might agree.
My friend and I changed the rules. We introduced elements of both Axis & Allies and Shogun to BRB25C.These house rules can be found through the Internet Archive:

@imperious-leader said in Axis and Allies MB edition: inquiry form included in the box: @thrasher1 I got that game, not a fan. It needs to be just like AA…but in SPACE Would more people be willing to play a kind of Axis and Allies in Space?
Any games that qualify? Apart from the Buck Rogers game I mentioned.

@thrasher1 Nothing and that’s why it must be made, Buck Rogers really isnt AA, its too different.

I would surely by an ‘Axis and Allies in Space’ game. And many here I guess. If you have any ideas for this: please share (if you want). Also: if someone ever finds a game that can be described as ‘A&A in Outerspace’ please share here.

I posted this about three years ago. So I thought a ‘BUMP’ was OK to do (just put this topic into the spotlight again). (If this is not OK just remove this post. No problem) So to all: Please imagine what new Gamemaster Series you had liked to be released by MB/Hasbro. In the 1980s or 1990s. Another WW II game? WW I or WW III?
Medieval warfare with knights and stuff like that?
Or a game set in the future…Looking forward to read your - creative! - replies. Original posting: https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/32447/axis-and-allies-mb-edition-inquiry-form-included-in-the-box?page=1 Questionaire by MB (was included in some of the boxes):
