    Couldn’t do Italy without planning Ger, as what Ger planes do is critical to Italy.  Ger attacking Taranto raiders and sz96 were easy.  But Ger also attacked tt by Gib and E. Africa fleet.  So the loss of the Italian fleet by the Fre, required every Ger plane to complete yet another task, with no naval support.  I compounded the problem by landing the Ger planes in S. Italy, that could have and should have landed back in W. Ger.  Normally, Rus doesn’t go big into Scan, because it wants to consolidate in the south; and because Ger has lots of planes to aid the Fin army.  But now, no Ger planes are within range and Rus has armor and planes that can reach Fin.  Quite the role reversal.  But it could become a trap for the Rus to divide their forces.  Ger doesn’t need the Italians to take E. Pol, as Ger ground troops can hold their own without air defense.

    Ugh!  Terrible dice.  With the Rus army in Karelia, I wanted to put immediate pressure on Novg.  So I put the main army in Balt instead of E. Pol.  So I attack E. Pol with 3 ground and 3 planes, that’s 6 units with power of 16 vs 4 units with defense of 8.  I rolled 1 hit and Rus rolled 2.  I rolled 1/2 th hits, even tho I had twice the power.  I would have retreated rather than risk the TB if only 1 Rus was left.  But 3 Rus inf combined with 3 planes could reach any of 3 Ger terr.  Odds round 2 were I’d just lose my 1 remaining ground unit.  But no, Rus rolled 2/2.  Rus overall rolled median of 2 and Ger median of 3.  But I’ve assumed an aggressive naval position and have ftrs to scramble and planes in position to attack.

    I had intended to build my 2 subs in Norm in sz105 and sz110, but just added them to my fleet without thinking.  I will edit on Jpn turn.  It won’t affect Rus sub in sz105, as my subs can’t attack without outside assistance.
    I didn’t want to use up more ground troops than Rus had in E.Pol, as Rus could overwhelm anything I put there on Rus’ turn.

    I planned Jpn complex moves late last night in local move.  Then painstakingly recreated this morning in forum mode, then wanted to make a change, but had already ended combat move without saving.  Now you re-edit Rus back to Amur.  Now I have to recalc and adjust again.  You tie up lots of Rus inf and I have to tie up lots of Jpn units.  I was planning on holding back some units anyway to be near the border, until Rus moved farther west.

    Good dice.  So many combat and NCM moves.  I meant to hold back a unit for NCM, but accidentally moved it with the rest of the fleet into combat.  So I can’t undo it to move elsewhere in NCM.  Triplea is frustrating in that one small mistake can have grave consequences.
