I’m wondering if we both made mistakes in the last round
On that last US/China/UK turn I was preoccupied with limiting your entry into the Middle East and realized that I could only securely stack transjordan. So I then set up to do that. But the value of having a few land units in TransJordan as opposed to Egypt is minimal especially since I could use the US units to can open for the British.
In doing so I gave up Greece a turn sooner than I needed to and gave up a location that gave my air great range. And since most of that air is UK, I could extend that range if I needed with a US airbase. Having the air in Greece meant that I could threaten or reinforce most of Europe, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and the Baltic. From TransJordan I can only really threaten the Mediterranean and the Middle East and I can’t reinforce Moscow. And given my other intentions, having that air in Greece would have been so useful on this next turn.It was a terrible move and its particularly frustrating because it was obvious to me as soon as I finished the turn. Because of that I was expecting you to pull back the German tanks and set up to attack Moscow. With all that air in TransJordan out of range I couldn’t hold it if you had done that. I might have missed something and you might have had good reason not too, but I was expecting you to do just that.

You may be right. I didn’t look closely, but I assumed I would not be able to take Russia. I assumed if I moved my Tanks to threaten Moscow, you would merely stack the British air there again. If I did manage to win, I would have very little left over. I have lost a game before after I took Russia but was too weak to hold off the Americans.
I thought your Greece takeover was brilliant. It’s proximity to Russia allows you to shuttle back and forth. An airbase would have been helpful, but I could see that I was giving you the option to save the Middle East by evacuating Greece.
Japan’s move is sent via email.

And back to you. Email sent.

Germany’s turn 12 was sent to you.

At this point I see a slow death for the Axis, so I will concede.
You played an excellent game, and obviously made fewer strategic blunders than I did. I went back to look at turn 11 where Germany took Persia, and indeed if I would have turned north instead with my armor stack, I could have easily taken Russia on turn 12. I totally missed looking at the possibility. I merely looked at having enough in Bryansk to defend, and how I might use a factory in Persia to my advantage. It obviously never helped me. My eyes were focused on the wrong prize.
I misplayed the Pacific throughout, but especially moving my fleet to SZ55. I learned a lot from both this game and the previous one we had.
I posted your win on the forum results page.
Best wishes in your other games. Perhaps we can give it a go again next year.
Cheers, Roger (OwenToo)

Thanks for the game.
I think I got lucky this time around too. My AA especially definitely helped me at the right times (especially Norway and your last bombing run on India).
I think we both played quite well but made key blunders. Since you didn’t catch my mistake with the US/UK air in greece, 55 though was probably the decisive one. The Pacific is often hard for Japan to manage when the US really focuses on it.But if Japan could have stayed dangerous for another couple of turns than you might have had the time you needed for Europe.
I was also super relieved that you didn’t turn the tanks around. I was in a strong enough position that maybe I could have survived losing Moscow, but I’m glad I didn’t have to test that.
And for sure we can do another in the new year. These two games were a lot of fun.
Good luck with your other games.
