    Woo hoo, American fleet rolled badly off of Solomon’s, sparing my planes and giving TUV +69.  Only used dd and sub’s, as BB’s went to N. Guinea for repair and cv’s to N.G. to receive ftrs from Japan.  I dedicate the battle victory to my axis ally Dawg. 
    My builds and actions were distorted by desperate need to take another VC quickly, while still defending another VC at the other end of my empire.  Normally, I wouldn’t strip my money islands of their garrisons.  But at this point, its irrelevant.

    Newsreel headline:  Japan captures Queensland.  Or more accurately, Australia abandons Queensland.  How to split defense of Queensland vs the capital NSW is a difficult choice.  But in this case, I think it was a mistake to abandon Queensland.  I only had 1 loaded tt with bombarding and limited air power, to attack either terr.  If I didn’t take Queensland, U.S. could land ftrs and troops from Hawaii (in NCM after sinking my blocker).  As it is, my unprotected, invading tt can’t be sunk, and can pick up new troops from N.G.
