War has been declared

I’ve played A&A Europe as much as Global, so have played Euro powers more than JPN.  The fluidity of the Pacific makes it more complex than land battles on the eastern front.  I asked for Jpn because I wanted a change and it might be more fun.  As Jpn and as the Allies, I’ve seen Jpn fortified in the homeland and Phil and just skirmishes elsewhere.  So I am experimenting with going beyond that in this game.  I knew that US would use blockers around Hawaii, but thought I could threaten him before he could hit sz6 hard.  I was overwhelmed by the possibilities of various ways he could attack.  I moved subs away because I had blocked his fleet.  If I had kept my subs, together with bombers, I could have threatened his CVs.  But since his planes were lost, he didn’t need to move CVs to sz7.

I don’t have access to a computer with the game while on vacation, so will have to rely on forum posts.  So I can’t tell how bad the situation is.  But I think SA has blocked me from hitting his fleet with mine.  I

I didn’t think and was hoping that Aside DD couldn’t be a blocker for Hawaii, since it was in S Aus.  But it swung east thru those big sea zones.  Will have to settle for sinking all the allied dad’s.  Got rid of that pesky French DD on its solitary patrol.

How come the game did not let me battle the last 2 British planes?

Only 2 Brit ftrs defended against Italy.  So if there really were 4 Brit ftrs, someone needs to roll for them and edit Italian losses.  Regardless, congrats to Ger for driving the Allies into the sea.  Brit loss of 4 ftrs makes them weak and US and Brit will have to build new armies for Europe instead of Asia and Pacific.

only 2 of the british fighters rolled against the italians, meaning there are two more rolls against Italian fighters.

Fighter dice against Germans round 2

This could mean up to two german dice don’t count. (The first two which are hits at 2 shouldn’t)  But the dice were so hot it doesn’t matter.  Germany scored 9 hits,  but only needed 6 to get everything.  Germanies worst case is it had 7 hits.
