    I’ve played A&A Europe as much as Global, so have played Euro powers more than JPN.  The fluidity of the Pacific makes it more complex than land battles on the eastern front.  I asked for Jpn because I wanted a change and it might be more fun.  As Jpn and as the Allies, I’ve seen Jpn fortified in the homeland and Phil and just skirmishes elsewhere.  So I am experimenting with going beyond that in this game.  I knew that US would use blockers around Hawaii, but thought I could threaten him before he could hit sz6 hard.  I was overwhelmed by the possibilities of various ways he could attack.  I moved subs away because I had blocked his fleet.  If I had kept my subs, together with bombers, I could have threatened his CVs.  But since his planes were lost, he didn’t need to move CVs to sz7.

    I don’t have access to a computer with the game while on vacation, so will have to rely on forum posts.  So I can’t tell how bad the situation is.  But I think SA has blocked me from hitting his fleet with mine.  I
