    Hey Matthew, tell you what, whenever a submarine attacks a submarine, the defending submarine will ALWAYS submerge if he can. This is because the defenders only rolls at a one and the attacker gets two. Therefore sub vs sub battles just don’t happen. Or you should ask me. I will always say the defender submerges, so you needn’t ask in the future, but just submerge my subs. I will let it pass this time, but what usually happens in SZ125 is both subs sit there and they never attack because the enemy always submerges. The German sub eliminates the Russian 5 IPC (or PU) bonus, and the Russian sub gets to roll for convoy losses at the end of the German turn.
