Scousemart (Axis) vs OwenToo (Allies)

  • Rumours that the German High Command have staged a coup are true and having disposed of The Dictator, have unconditionally surrendered. The Japanese, upon learning that their last Axis partner had thrown in the towel, also surrendered. Their Military Command, unwilling to lose face, all fell on their swords as act of defiance.  :evil: :wink:

    Yep, I’ll concede this one to you. Not much chance of matching the Allied military or economic power.  :cry: :-P

    Good game.  :-)

    @OwenToo:

    No scramble. Standard OOL: BB, then Destroyer, then Cruiser, then Battleship 2nd hit

    Hi Gents,

    sorry, it was a crazy accident but I stumbled across this:

    Germans attack with 1 fighter, 3 submarines and 1 tactical_bomber
                    British defend with 1 destroyer and 1 transport

    And you did not scramble. Allies can send 4 fighters into 109 giving Germans 6%! odds to win the battle. The Allies have the exclusive chance to just destroy the Germans here and thus add severe damage to the Axis.

    Why did you not scramble here?

    You are right, of course, I should have scrambled. I didn’t want to lose any British fighters, but I had a greater chance of killing his air units than losing fighters, and did not take advantage of it.

    Yeah, German air is gold and every German air down is super important for the Allies.
    Next to the planes you would have also killed the subs :)
