IC damage when captured

Ah yes, forgot about attacking with a friendly on board.

I have started buying an IC in Manchuria on J1, along with 2 transports.  I find it so valuable in getting China eliminated and gone from the game.  I then build 2 mechs and a tank on J2.  They can reach anywhere in China on J4, except Sikang.  Life is good for Japan if the Chinese are bottled up in western Tibet!

It is also nice to be able to build transports in SZ19 so that they are out of range from the Hawaiian fleet.

Why is there the rule that industrial complexes cannot be built on islands, even if the island meets the IPC requirements? You should at least be allowed to build minor ICs on islands.

Because a minor on PI if Japan doesn’t declare war is OP for the US.  Instead of 3 moves from the islands, they are now in the middle of it.

Along with the damage if it was never bought off before it can be upgraded.  It could be a 26 IPC expense for the original owner to upgrade it back to the major.

I could be undefeatable by anyone currently living on planet Earth and never skip a sacking of France on Germany 1 or failing Germany 1, at least whacking him good and doing it with Italy. (Although, with at least 4 fighters there, I highly doubt I would let Italy even try.)

Subs can move through Gibraltar, but can’t move through the other two.

No.  Only in territories worth 3, can an IC be upgraded.
