 Ya, I screwed that one up. I should have asked for an order of casualties, because after the first hit to the carrier I would have pulled back, but, that wouldn’t be fair to you. Then my laptop processes the battles so quick it went right thru a retreat screen. I’ve just got to be more careful in general. I’ve been making a lot of small mistakes in games, like the two free AA guns in this one, forgetting to put out a blocker in another one. It’s killing me.
You can save a game midcombat to post results and ask for OOL. Also in this case, you could have retreated after the AC hit, as that was part of the reason for grabbing Eire instead of Scotland. I had a good chance at keeping a place to land my planes even if I lost the AC. To be honest, I completely forgot about those planes from Morocco being able to reach and my stomach dropped a little when I saw the order of battle before I scrolled through the results.
I didn’t know you can post, but either way I should have asked for an order of casualties. It’ll be a live and learn game. I completely forgot about Ireland otherwise I would have sent the Canadian troops there. Sooooooo many ways I botched that one.
