Honestly (and sincerely don’t mean to insult), your comments suggest to me that you are not playing at a high competitive level. Against typical players, the skill level will have a much larger impact than a few bid. This is because people will mistakenly leave units in a position for the opponent to win 10-50 point battles. Bids to balance really shine when both players are playing optimally, the games are going 20+ rounds with 150 unit stacks. I would stick to my suggestions in the original post if you’d like to try revised with the new rules.

Of course im no experienced player, i made 6 games before. But still i wish to have as balanced starting circumstances as possible.

I personally like Revised better, because of the NOs (optional rules at back of book) can change up the game play.

I would like to play Revised with the NOs, but update the naval rules to 1942.

Buy 1942 for the extra pcs and the Cruisers…  play Revised IMHO.

I know that the anniversary edition board will be the biggest yet. But I am curious to see what new territories they added and to actually see what Italy has for holdings and military buildup at the beggining of the game. The box will probably be just as big as the MB edition. Perhaps they will change the look/artwork of the battleboard, national production chart, etc…

Your painting job is superb! But you messed up the Stuka, it wouldn’t have had invasion stripes. Those were for Allied aircraft that participated in D-day.

excellent map once again imp! my only critique is very minor…. wouldn’t it make more sense to have russian units in red and japanese units in yellow?

Having a hell of a time getting it to work though. Tried to DL java, and got “net beans 4.1” totaly lost.
