Yes, in the context I was speaking the semi-decent price is in the future, as you were speaking of Risk Anniversary Ed.  If AA50 goes out of print for good and rises to crazy prices I don’t think it will be the standard global AA game.  Though, with the internet making it all pretty much free anyway (play-by-forum etc.) I could be wrong.

Another thing I forgot the first time is that my group usually uses a “treaty” to end our games-someone has to leave, so we just slice up the world with whichever powers are left and trade off some territories so everyone’s happy. 8)

I would assume it is a vid card driver issue you are having maybe, upgrading that usually helped alot of games out in NT4, but some just plain would not run.

One thing that bugs me in the rules is … if you have FTRs on a CV in the UK sz, for example, and are attacked, losing the CV, but FTRs survive, they have one movement point to reach the UK, W EUR or F/N! If they were in the fight(which is highly probable) then they would not have fuel to reach safety. But, IT’S JUST A GAME! :wink:

Well, you are right about the Brit Navy. What was their policy? All american sailers were really british traitors even 20 years after king charlie lost it……

Thankfully, that sort of tom-foolery has been left far behind. Mind you we feel a bit bitter about the softwood lumber thing… So we just raise the price of oil to you down there, nadda prob :-)

I think during 1812 the US crushed the Laker fleet of the British. I believe your victorous admiral reported back to your president “We have met the enemy, and he is mine”, after capturing 1/2 the brit fleet and sinking the other half (or there abouts, you get the picture).
