When I l click to end France’s turn it says “The Axis achieve victory by controlling 8 victory cities, would you like to continue?” I was under the impression that since we traded Egypt I didn’t hold 8 for a full round so it wouldn’t trigger a victory. Is victory achieved by holding 8 at the end of a round (i.e through the end of France) or is it achieved by holding 8 for a turn after you’ve taken 8 (i.e. if I take it with Italy, holding 8 until Italy’s next turn)?

Yeah, you need to hold 8 continuously for 1 round. Could be you are using an older version of triple a? But it’s not correct.
I mean you are going to win anyway, I think. I guess there’s a small chance I can still do something. Plus its fun for the Axis to really stick it to me now.
Go ahead and play Germany through Japan. I can edit in Russia after since all I have is 3 ftrs. I will evaluate after Japan and see if I surrender.
