So… is this board basically dead? I mean D-day was about 5 sets ago. Anyone really around here anymore, or has everyone gone to the Forumini and Underground?
this post is dead and buried. Most people go to formini now. Much more traffic.
Sure. The best online retailer for this sort of thing is Historical Board Gaming. go there and you will find every piece to almost every AA board game, even some Anniversary pieces. Of course, Ebay is a good way to acquire pieces as well.
Again, just make sure VASSAL is configuration-based enough. if you have to code to make changes then I’d look at one of the more polished products.
Battlegrounds has stated on their website that they are working on a wargamer-specific tabletop version of their software. Id be curious to know how that is comiong along…
That being said VASSAL has been around for a while and lots of games have been ported to it so I know its pretty solid.
Alright what about a

I guess I have some kind of advantage - since I’ve pumped $1000+ into this game, all at the same store no less, the owner gives me discounts on my merchandise (not to mention a free t-shirt! :-D)
The British Army normally used 2", 3" and 4.2" mortars, 82mm is a Russian army calibre.
It’s only a tiny model soldier, what difference does the uniform make? Given the limited range of units currently availible, you’re often going to have to mix and match to field any effective force, except for the Germans.
