Looking for a game or two. Tier 1 or higher I guess…
Guess that counts me out. :(

If you don’t want to play, then just tell me you don’t want to play, but don’t lie about it. I don’t even get it.
I know I tried some weird strategies and now am at Tier 3. I did that to see if this game has any flexibility over the typical things. I don’t think it does, but I’m not the best player either.
But there have been years that I was Tier 1. However, now that I’m Tier 3 no one will play me anymore (ironically, not even Tier 3 players). So, I guess I’ll go play a different game. That’s sad, because I really like this one.
I won’t call anyone out here. You know who you are.
-
League should be about players playing players, not only certain levels playing certain levels. I guess it just won’t ever change.
-
Sorry, the current propaganda across this world is driving me over the edge. All I want to do is play a game, since I can’t even watch any sports anymore either. I apologize.
-
@DizzKneeLand33 i agree though. they’ve made it so no one will play us. and i’ve paid the full amount of payments for years. i think that should count for something. may be a look at the point system. i’ll play ya in a game DizzKneeLand33
-
Sounds great, @dawgoneit ! Do you like BM3 with normal league bidding rules? Or let me know what you like – you can PM me that and your bid. Let’s have some fun!

It’s definitely not personal, but the ranking system doesn’t really allow for play were opponents have a big gap. Being, say, tier E and playing tier 3 means that the higher ranked player will lose ranking no matter what. It’s actually flawed in that respect.
Perhaps implementing something like the chess Elo-rating could solve this? I believe that ranking system could be incorporated as it is, without much tweaks. Obviously a draw is not really on the table here, but that’s not even an issue.
I’ll post this idea in a more proper thread, but wanted to air it here since I felt your frustration.

I’m kinda new here - is there a link to the ranking rules? At one point I found the rankings of everybody in a spreadsheet - is that on the website somewhere as well?

If you pick the current 2020 tab it shows your current standing and at the bottom explains the PPG system and how many points you get for winning/losing against ranked opponents

looking for a bunch of bm games tier 2 and higher
-
@wizmark Thanks to both of you!

Offering up a chance for new players or lower tier players to get a game with me. I have 1 or 2 slots open and my work is shut down next week so I have all the time in the world. Maybe…wife and kids may have a say in that😁. PM me for a game. Everybody stay safe and healthy out there!

Looking for a tier 1 or E game.

Sorry, no one but us M’s here. :P

I assume that was made in jest due to the smiley face. I read the comments you and others made earlier and I understand and sympathize. Not playing against T2 and T3 has nothing to do with ratings but I have limited time to play and I have more fun when playing against closer competition. Perhaps thats selfish but it is what it is.
-
Yes, it was made in jest. ;)
I just found it weird you didn’t want to play “M” players, just “E” and “1”.
-
well as I said I wanted to play closer competition, not really interested in another game against Adam right now, and not against AD or JDOW either, at this moment.
-
@ksmckay would you have played a t2 or a t3 if it didn’t mess with your ranking?
