AndrewAAgamer Axis over Karl7 Allies

@karl7 Well fought Karl7. I’m only a little fish here in this pond, but I appreciated the innovation, trying to change the math by going for the neutrals. I’ve wondered whether S. American and Southern African money might be worth the cost and delay. Probably not.
At some point in time, we might consider amending the bid placement rules to spice up oob. Andrew has proved that the “central powers” ie those in the middle of the board have a huge advantage. Don’t get me wrong, Andrew. You are very good. But you choose the Axis for a reason. As a play tester, I know that skill is not the only factor effecting the outcome of a game.
So Karl, please don’t give up on OOB as hopeless, but push for change in bid placement. I have some ideas about that, but I’ll bet you do too.

well, I think I could beat a lesser player than Andrew, but he has it down to a science.
In the last couple games, I was able to get the upper hand overall, but then he skillfully just crammed one side of the board with both Axis powers for the win. It’s the winning move! LOL.
In this last game Germany was checked and we were closing in and Japan was dong ok. But then Germany dived for India leaving Russia free. So even if Allies could get India back from Japan it was hopeless.
Game before this (?) Japan was basically defeated but it cut and run for middle east and nukes everything in sight for the win.
That being said some of the games were just straight up Axis wins with no hope for allies.

@wizmark (Allies) over @Shin-ji (Axis +8) in a PtV game. I think perhaps the J1 DOW may have been a little greedy on my part.

However, I do have one win to note, as I was already basically winning this game before @nikola1975 disappeared.
@Shin-Ji (Axis +8) over @nikola1975 PtV.

<gauntlet voice>
Welcome back, Shin Ji!
Returning from 2019. -
Note that I’m making a judgment call and assigning tier 1 until you reach 3 games, then it will be adjusted if necessary.
-
@shin-ji gg! I think the pearl harbour attack was what caused you problems…losing 2 of yr 3 carriers and 5 planes on T1 was a bit too much to come back from!

shin-ji (L) over wizmark (X+8) ptv
2 difficult battles in 114 and 115 decide this v early!

AndrewAAGamer (Allies+60) over Simon33 (X) OOB
-
In case Simon doesn’t finish 3 OOB in 2023 (because if he does, this doesn’t matter)
I’m gonna make a judgment call and start him off tier 2 instead of 3. I know you’re a steady 1 for the past few years, but no recent experience (at least in league) with OOB, so going with 2. -
@gamerman01 I have a rematch and a game with dawg going so I should get to 3 one way or another.
Fair call there. I lost this game largely because I haven’t played large bid OOB games or recent OOB games
-
Ghostglider (allies+16) over Simon33 (Axis) BM

@simon33 brave man! thank you for taking on the challenge. I will study this on my youtube channel.

Pejon defeats gamerman01 (+15),
after G13Thank you for all your patience - you could have claimed it on time-out several different times. That same patience proved effective in game.

Thanks, aequitas.
666…
You have 3 wins against tier 1’s, which means…You have 6 + 6 + 6
Average is 6.00Keep up the bad work.
It isn’t easy doing Morgoth’s work but it is rewarding…
