I wonder what the win ratio is: Axis:Allies–even with bids, even with different versions.
I used to track it. Looks like it was through 2018. Sometimes I tracked results by tier. You have to analyze closely to tell if it’s balanced, because of difference in player ability.
These results are all in the rankings spreadsheets.

Allies were 145-116
2017
Allies 155-138
2018
Allies 139-171Total 4 years, balanced mod
Allies 649-676Balanced mod seems to be quite balanced

Well. <cough> I forgot about bids. I don’t remember what bids were in 2015. So with modest bids to the allies, it’s then pretty balanced. So I guess with no bids Axis will win more in the balanced mod, which is why all our bids are about 18-25 to Allies

My recollection is that until the last couple of years, bids were typically under 10. I wonder if the bids going up has shifted that average in favor of the allies.

Yup, have played it. It solves a lot of Allied issues. Superior to OOB. Bids for allies much less, in 10-20 range.
Not sure about bombers at 14 though.

I still think the guerrilla fighters are the worst part, and clearly bad.
