https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=40945.90Of interest, I ran these two games through my own hit parser program (TripleA can’t check old games). In theory both players should be 0,0 in a perfect statistical games of how many hits they got, vs received.
Both games Variance was axis and Caesar allies.
Game 1 Axis 10, Allies 8, so overall both players were slightly above average for hits, and the total hit handicap was just +2
Variance came home with the W.Game 2 Axis was -21 and Allies -2, overall both players being unlucky, but V getting the rawest deal. -19 hits, meant 19 extra allied units on the board. Enough for Caesar to muscle out the W! :)
Now Caesar knows that with just a little luck, he’s a solid T1 opponent, and as he gets more xp his game will be improving :)

Hmm that’s interesting because at the battle of moscow round 8 the battle calc said I had ~85% odds with an average of 18 attacker units remaining, and if the defender won he would have an average of 2 units remaining. Well he won with 36 of his original 92 units left! So that’s pretty much a tail-of-the-distribution outcome. If I had won that battle the game was over but I couldn’t recover after that. Anyway it is interesting that the one bad result accounts for the disparity of 19 points.
Anyway I am not whining about dice. It happens.
