Question. OOB global 1940, turn 2 germany builds 8 transports and a destroyer planning for a sea lion. turn 2 UK stack SZ 110 with 3 DD, 5 Subs. Theorhetically if germany invades SZ 110 with 1 DD and, 2 fighters, 3 tacticals, and 2 bombers, and the 8 fully loaded transports what happens when round one UK subs get 2 hits, and Germany only gets 4 hits. This results in there being german airpower and transports left, with 4 UK subs also left heading into round 2 of combat. It is my understanding that subs cannot be hit by air unless there is a destroyer present. it is also my understanding that transports cannot unload into a territory containing enemy subs. You should understand my confusion with now with how this battle is to proceed. Anyone with more game knowledge know how this works?

Basically the battle continues until Germany retreats or loses all its transports. Each round, the surviving sub(s) take pot shots at the loaded transports. Germany also loses a loaded transport in the first round. Of course, you are assuming that Germany has lost its BB and Cruiser somehow.

Hi Jacob
I believe it is unescorted Trprts that cant Amphib when subs present and that the German Air would be considered escorting in this situation.
-
yes what simon said my bad that the Trprts would die or have to retreat otherwise :)

Could be an option in some scenarios. E.g. Germany doesn’t buy a DD and has lost its BB. Taking out the Cruiser with the subs is probable.
