@simon33 I think the bids are just part of the fun, and 22 is right now the price some players are willing to pay to play axis. I suspect in the long run, that will be a little high.
You are probably right that UK naval/air bids are the best (alhtough I’d probably emphasize the Atlantic including 91 which can reach into the med). And that makes sense since the only thing the Allies are certain of at the start is that Germany is at war with the UK and that is where you can minimize the damage the Germans can do the most. If you new with absolute certainty that your opponent was doing a J1, that might change things a bit. And that does reduce some of the variation in game play. It is probably an advantage of OOB with its bids of 50-60 that the Allies will end up spending that bid elsewhere too.

Yeah, with a 22 bid though you can do subs in 91 & 98 + ftr Malta. Which gives a coin toss in SZ91 if they go after it with 2 subs. With the bid I was suggesting there is a setback if the SZ91 CA is sunk G1.
Most probable attack is SZ91 will not be attacked though.

I haven’t heard from anyone who I think could do it, no. But I’m gradually getting better and have been able to keep up with duties so far.
The position is always open though - I’m willing to hand it off to someone who has enough experience and good reputation

I did not set a rule at mid-year on how many games for each version you’d need to qualify for the playoffs.
It looks like it should be 8 for balanced mod;
4 for PTV;
3 for OOBDoes anyone disagree with these threshholds? If you take the total number of games completed during the year by all players, and divide by 20, you get approximately these numbers. I also eyeballed the standings to see if it looked right - would qualify about the right number of players.

our others noticing issues with Marti? In all my games, some dice rolls aren’t showing up and they aren’t ending up in other folders either. Just not showing up.

I have had this issue several times and then changed e-mails without much luck from what I remember. After a while it seems to work again though.

I am having this issue now too. I am getting 1/3 to 1/2 the actual rolls. This happened to me once before and it cleared up after a few days. I assume the programmers did something on their end to correct it.

What are your thoughts on counting G40 Alternate Universe games towards league standings for 2022? I was reading the below part of the league rules:
“4a The default game rules may be modified by agreement of both players. Low Luck or Tech, with or without Tech Tokens, is allowed if you and your opponent agree prior to bidding. Balanced mod (see stickied League section thread for Balanced Mod rules) or any other ruleset using G40 is likewise allowed if agreed by players”
G40 Alternate Universe is based on G40 rules with some modifications. I appreciate this is a bit of a harder question now that the league is split into 3 categories. Perhaps it could count towards the 2nd Edition category?
