issue does not seem to be edit related as I was not in edit mode. also not version related as reproduced in two different versions but with same savegame file. as stucifer said it may be something in the savegame file. may have been seeing this happening for a while in other games but did not really notice as I was attacking to wipe out opponent not strafe

It doesn’t matter whether you try that specific savegame with edit mode on or off or with what TripleA version ever. A savegame contains more or less the complete history of a game. And once an error is introduced into a savegame it is there and stays there. You cannot expect a ‘corrupted’ savegame to be healed by using a different TripleA-version. So yes, the error most likely is inside the savegame file.
And most likely errors within savegames are introduced by
a) using edit mode at a problematic point during the game (see my above statement)
b) using a version of TripleA containing maybe a specific bug
c) players using different (maybe incompatible) versions of TripleATo get behind a possible game engine error it is important that it is reproducible with a current 2.7 version and a new game started with exactly this current version.

We have 6 players entered for an 8 player, 4 team, mini 2v2 G40 OOB tournament,
So looking for 2 more
Emphasis on fun and team play, results not recorded, just tons of fun
See pinned thread -
Can take more than 2, because teams can be 3 players
Still need 2
-
@gamerman01 I think this is a great idea and would be a lot of fun. I just don’t have the time for the next few months to join in. But hope you can find a couple of others soon.
-
We have one open slot for a 2v2 OOB G40 with special setup
“Tournament” that takes 2 wins, is rather casual, no recorded results
Meet and play together with someone new! An old nemesis, or an old ally! Experience a new setup, not the same old bid
It will still be possible to join the action later, in the event a player disappears, but now is the time to get in for sure

Went on an unplanned little trip and wasn’t able to post this weekend—will catch up asap

Dear all,
Does anyone know about the whereabout of our friend @dawgoneit ?
He left for a ten days camping trip. That was more than six weeks ago. He wasn’t online since July 1.
He hasn’t replied to my SMS and didn’t answer his cell phone, and I started to worry already a while ago.
Maybe he has a new mobile number and moved from A&A to Chess or Poker, but I doubt that.
I’d love to see him back healthy and eager to play!
-
I also have a game with him and worried as he hasn’t posted in any other threads in the interim.

If you have his cell number and he hasn’t answered, that is very sad to hear. I hope he is ok. He is an institution around here!
-
not sure if this happens in bm, so posting here more generally.
can someone explain this?

-
^ I don’t understand the question. What is unusual?
-
Not sure if many people still play over the table games. But having a blast tonight playing G40 with my little cousin.

Oh right. It looks like Ceylon lacks the property for Ownership change … Captured by … to UK_Pacific.
Is that the cause? I’m not 100% sure but it does seem coincidental.

Waiting for my opponent tonight, and went ahead and set up the Classic game for our double elimination tournament
Time for G6. Hot game with @leemorrison who’s 7-0 in recorded play!

-
@elche asked me and got me back into Classic a couple years ago. It takes a bit to learn the rules, but how nostalgic, and fun to figure out the strategies after playing a ton of AA50 and global 40 for so many years.
We experts playing on TripleA aren’t the same as casual face to face -
Already out of chips. Will have to raid other sets. -
Looks like I still have the habit of pointing units at their closest enemy
-
@gamerman01 Well Lee is playing a Revised tournament I think, if he shows up I’ll challenge him right away.

2 quick questions for the pros, Am I allowed to have my USA subs not submerge here and take them as my first casualties against the planes?
And second, if there is a russian tank in northwest persia and a uk transport in SZ 80, can the russia tank on its turn blitz through persia (already owned by the UK) and load onto the UK transport?
