Hi. has anyone seen a similar error when loading old saves? java.lang.IllegalStateException: Duplicate key xxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx (attempted merging values ANZAC and ANZAC)
where x is a random sequence of numbers

@aagamerz13 Yes. I think it occurs when you add units via edit mode and the key is not uniqued properly.

unfortunately none that I am aware of.

@aagamerz13 You could try the Save game at this point (beta) option in the Game History panel. Don’t know if it rebuilds the IDs, but if the file is already corrupt I guess you’ve got nothing to lose.

Of course, you lose all the game history and probably need to click through to get to the German turn. Last I used that there were some bugs, maybe now fixed, although I edited the XML.
Positive point is that it probably rebuilds all the IDs though.

@simon33 thx for info simon and flyingbadger. How exactly do you use the save game here feature? I don’t see that option. Ie, which heading and dropdown item?

@simon33 Do you know how exporting the game to an XML file is different from the TSVG file?

Press Ctrl + H to display the history panel, then right click on an entry. I believe it works better / fails less if you do it at a point between rounds.

The tsvg format is more capable but the xml format is human readable and more likely compatible. xml saves don’t store round info for example.

@flyingbadger Thx. This right click feature is powerful and shows the save at. When I try it, it still shows duplicate key error without saving. Someone mentioned there was a way to edit and fix the key? Can an example of fixing that be posted?

For those of you who are interested or rely on the Forum History Read out of your Turn in League games, you can do the following:
On your Turns end, were you normaly click post Turn Summary, there is also
View Turn Summary.
Click on that. Highlight it and Copy it (Ctrl-C).
Then Go to your Game thread and Paste it (Ctrl-V).
Below drag and drop your according save file of your Turn, voila!!
Looks almost like the original. -
@aequitas-et-veritas Quite a few players have noticed that Marti no longer sends the dice mails each time. I’ve noticed Marti mails in spam folder but not for all battle. Dont know if this is related to the not saving automatically issue. Can someone look into this?
