@panther Trying to post and I’m getting an error. The MARTI emails showed up just fine. Any ideas?
Failed to post game to forum java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.util.LinkedHashMap cannot be cast to class java.util.List (java.util.LinkedHashMap and java.util.List are in module java.base of loader ‘bootstrap’)

@lennardf we are all dealing with it. They are trying to fix it and in the meantime you can just save your game and upload the file.
-
@farmboy thanks, hadn’t seen that but, yeah, I had sent the file the old fashioned way.

-
@panther Hi. Was wondering if anyone else is having problems posting the game saves. I keep seeing an error.
-
@aagamerz13 Yep it is affecting everyone. You will just have to manually attach a saved game file. Follow one of the links above that panther posted if you need help with that.

Rules Question?
The US has a Navy in sz112 with 8 transports. They amphib assault denmark with 1 transport going to sz 110 to pick up 2inf from Normandy and then unload in sz 112 for denmark. I have German scramble options.
Question #1 After the amphib with no scramble can the US use the 7 leftover transports to NCM move troops from Normandy to Norway
Question #2 If there was a scramble can the US still do the same move as stated above.
I guess bottom line is can the unused transports still move in NCM since they were part of an amphib assault in the sz or does a scramble need to trigger them not being able to move?
-
pretty sure that:
#1 yes
#2 noThey need to participate in an actual battle to prevent the NCM to Norway.
-
@simon33 Thanks. That’s what I was thinking as well. Now the question is how do I handle this fairly since my opponent didn’t ask for a scramble and maybe didn’t know the rule. Re-doing the whole turn is tricky because the UK already went as well.

Still an option but hopefully you can agree to something.

Does anyone know the reason why turn histories can‘t be posted anymore? Did something on the forum change and the tripleA client needs to be adjusted? Is anyone working on a solution?

It was an upgrade to the forum software on axisandallies.org. I believe someone has a fix but it hasn’t been retrofitted to 2.5.

This has been covered

@panther many thanks!

Hi. has anyone seen a similar error when loading old saves? java.lang.IllegalStateException: Duplicate key xxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx (attempted merging values ANZAC and ANZAC)
where x is a random sequence of numbers
-
@aagamerz13 Yes. I think it occurs when you add units via edit mode and the key is not uniqued properly.
-
@simon33 thx simon. anyway to fix it?
-
unfortunately none that I am aware of.
-
@aagamerz13 You could try the Save game at this point (beta) option in the Game History panel. Don’t know if it rebuilds the IDs, but if the file is already corrupt I guess you’ve got nothing to lose.

Of course, you lose all the game history and probably need to click through to get to the German turn. Last I used that there were some bugs, maybe now fixed, although I edited the XML.
Positive point is that it probably rebuilds all the IDs though.
