Yea but the problem wasnt the torpedos… it was the stupid crew that could not figure out the concept of “counterbalance” the water to so that it would not capsize… which is what happened…

- Alright, I knew it was a German Operation but I cheated and went to wiki… Operation Tannenbaum refers to the planned invasion of Switzerland after France fell. Germany considered the Swiss, “The most Despicable, wretched people, the mortal enemies of the new Reich.” and that he, “Would be the Swiss Butcher.” Of course the plan never went into action because of a rifle that hanged over every household’s doorway (something that others could glean from but that is beside the point) and The Alps posed a major problem…

What is the most deadly of the three known strains of filoviruses?
-
Ok thats correct… just goes to show you that the swiss “neutrality” thing in many wargames was not a forgone conclusion… they could have been invaded. The german plan was revamped in 1943-44 so to facilitate german forces redeployment to france, Italy  and germany. I actually have the map of the original german battle plan for invasion of Switzerland.

I was beginning to think the thread was dead.
Ebola Zaire, 90% kill rate
Ebola Sudan, 70% kill rate
Marburg, 50% kill rateAnd that is all 3 known filoviruses… all of them VERY nasty!
Correction: 3 known that effect HUMANS. There is a 4th variety, Ebola Reston, that seem to only effect monkeys.

Here is one.
Who was the first President to claim executive privilege?
-
Yanny,
I believe it was Geo. Washington in the late 1800’s…
re: a treaty with Great Britain and which part/s of Congress granted approval.Exec privilege brings to my wandering mind what is happening today with the Dubai Ports World contract approval.
Currently only the Exec Branch need approve it. But Congress wants a piece of the action so they are fighting for control.
It ain’t the first fight for power and won’t be the last.
@El:
- What is the origin of the salute?
‘Raising the visor on the helmet’ is the answer I know.
Using the right hand to show you were not attacking makes sense added to the former answer.
@El:- Name the four(4) Japanese carriers at the Battle of Midway.
I believe all answers are correct, but I think every book I have read prints the one as “Kaga.”
@El:- What is the S. in Harry S. Truman??
I just read in the Sunday paper a week and a half ago that the Harry S Truman…
S stood for two of the grandparents surnames.
