I feel that this game is terminal.
I was scratching my head about the problem with placing the USA IC in Yunnan. Now I see the problem.
Well played as Germany. I should have abandoned Egypt with the Med buys. Looks like I will lose both Egypt and West Russia. Moscow’s loss is not far off losing West Russia.
I think the Egypt strategy only works without the Norway strategy and vice versa. Allies need to concentrate their defences and counter attacks.
Been a long time since I’ve played this version of the game and I’m struggling to remember the nuances.

I don’t think building it in Yunnan is ever a good idea. It’s one space from an amphibious assault whereas Sinkiang is two spaces. Planes from Alaska can reach the latter before the Japanese can but not at Yunnan.
Anyway, I’ll give you a go again if you like. I don’t feel very optimistic but maybe I’m learning.

Sorry - I had a type, I mean Sinkiang. I think it can be used as factory during mid game, but at the beginning it is not easy to defend.
