What Extra Sculpts, Roundels, etc for custom G40 table and game

RE: new units, I think there are some fun options and at least one no-brainer: if you’re playing G40, those Somua S35’s go right in as drop-in replacements for the blue T-34s in G40! Finally!!

Pzkpfw IV’s should also go right into the german armor unit mix, of course, especially for the first few german tank builds, along with the ubiquitous Panthers and a Tiger or two from 41. For G40 the CMP Trucks and LRDG Jeeps can do the same for British Mech Inf., since both the Italians and Russians (and French… sigh) already use use a Truck/Truck-ish sculpt for Mech Inf anyways.

The problem with the rest of the units is the limited number of powers with the sculpts available.

The Tactical Bombers are great but if you aren’t already into G40 then you’re only getting a handful and for only a few powers. Do the British and Americans get them? I only see German & Italian Tactical Bombers so far. The Sd.Kfz armored cars make for great Light Armor pieces, but there’s only Germany and Italy represented. The 6-Pounder’s can swap in/out for British artillery in most systems. I don’t play with dedicated AT guns - and then, only the British have a sculpt.

There’s the multiple copies & paint option, of course… but if you’re buying multiple copies to paint units you’re much better off looking at all of the incredible community support and high-detail sculpts that have been created for A&A at places like HBG, IWNGU, Combat Miniatures, and even my own web store.

Also slowly working on making my own pieces and designs for my new resin printer. I’m going to open up an online store for new pieces, boards, rules, and other items in the near future.

@lt-dan well if you have any interest in adding the fascist Italy symbol and city territories later to create a new additional map let me know! I will likely grab your G40 board but would be interested in a hbg 36 style board but for g40 if you decide to make one.

Per @Midnight_Reaper’s request, I’m working on a USS Atlanta and an IJN Agano for Light Cruisers. The Atlanta has existing open-source examples; the Agano I’ll have to rebuild from bits and photos (all current models are pay-only).

I plan on printing some out from Siredblood’s link.  I watched his video and you can certainly do it that way.  My only concern with adhesive backed “stickers” is that with all the handling of game pieces, I can imagine that the stickers begin to peel up after a while. If you’re going to use the adhesive backed stickers, might I recommend to apply thin CA glue around the outside edge of the sticker after you’ve burnished it down on the carrier deck.  You can get some thin CA at your local hobby shop where they sell RC planes, or just order it online.  Because it is literally as thin as water, you’ll need to apply it with some sort of makeshift precision applicator.  But after that, you won’t have to deal with annoying stickers that don’t want to stay down tight.

Also, if you use a glossy type sticker paper, after you’ve applied it and the carrier is “all done”, spray the entire piece with a light coat of Testor’s Dullcote spray laquer.  You’ll get rid of the sheen both on the plastic and from the glossy paper. All the colors will “blend” together and the piece will look much better.  :wink:

when can i purchase your G40 custom card deck and whats the cost also is there any way I can get the 1 piece map already made and shipped thanx computers are nt my forte they re just a necessary evil for me thanx for all you do
