I have posted many ideas on house rules, some good, some not so. But, at a minimum, do this…
Setup: Add 1 GE CA in SZ26 - represents German presence in Indian Ocean. Setup: Add 1 GE AR in GEA - represents gun boats on Lake Tanganyika (can also add rule this unit cannot move). Setup: Change GE AR in SWA to IN. Setup: Add 1 GE IN in KAM. Setup: Add 1 FR IN in FEA. Setup: Add 1 GE SS in SZ18 - represents German presence in Mediterranean. Setup: Change 1 OE CA to TR in SZ20. Setup: Change 1 RU CA to SS in SZ21. Setup: Change UK TR to SS in SZ2. Switzerland is impassable. Mobilization territories: Following can mobilize max of 2 x IPC value, plus restrictions. Bombay: Min. build 1 unit; Cannot build ships or tanks. Munich: Infantry, artillery only. Ottawa: Min. build 1 unit; Cannot build warships. Tatarstan: Infantry, artillery only. Because the Infantry attack and defense values are lower on the 8 sided system compared to the 6 Sided values in oob, China will require a house rule to help them compete against Japan. The suggestion is that China may purchase artillery units weather they control the Burma road or not… I like it, what are your thoughts?

2 inf = A2 A25.0% total
1 inf+1 art = A4 A50% total makes up the drop for sure.
Cost ya 7 instead 6 icps.Do you know how many Art are bought in a game on average for China ?

I hope it will be at least Arty A3 D2, so chinese Inf will get A2+A3 for 5/8 or 62.5% which is nearer the OOB 4/6 (66.7%) combined arms.
This little case also shows that China might be better with a strong Arty A3 D3 because defense 5/8 (62.5%) will be nearer OOB 66.7% for Art+Inf.
Otherwise, 50% 4/8 combined defense is a whole D6 pip below OOB 66.7%China need something because japanese Fighter and TcB keeps their usual OOB 50% attack per unit.

My other thought was Art only built with open Burma Road and Art A2D3 and China Inf cost 2.

Mostly the case with AA50.I put the Deluxe Edition Regular Infantry at a cost of 2… this China rule is for oob conversion from 6d to 8d without cost changes.
