@Midnight_Reaper Hello good sir… I am not able to get into my BGG mail, so please let me know in here once you have been at the postoffice to check for the shipping price of the French/China sheets we have talked about :)
Thank you in advance :D
Hi,
I’ve been on the hunt for some additional/alternative miniatures for using with A&AR.
So far I’ve found Infantry miniatures from Airfix (www.airfix.com) for US, UK, Germany and Russia.
In regard to Tanks, Fighters, Artillery and Bombers, I’ve had no luck at the scale in A&AR, and the same goes for naval units.
Anybody else have any leads I might follow up?
EDIT: I’ve come to the conclusion that tanks, planes and artillery are in the approx 1:285 scale, while infantry are approx 1:72 scale.
I’ve found that the company called Micro Armour produces (produced more like it) tanks and such.
Micro Armour miniatures can be found here: http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/ghq-military-models.html
Although, it seems they’re an expensive alternative, the models would bring even greater realism/diversity to the gamingboard.
In regards to extra minis, a good source is fellow used/new boardgames. If you want extra minis for say Axis & Allies game(s) there are the Axis & Allies minis of air/sea/ land units.
Also Tide of Iron, and, Memoirs’ 44 and Zvezda WW 2 games is a good source for units.
Finally WW2 Battlesets from Airfix and Italeri and Bum is another source.
Choices have grown since early 2006.
Thanks, Pellulo
