Seems pretty good. Looks like a lot more money for the Allies. Might be required since the UK is so busted up. Seems like you’d always J1 given that the US is already making 5 bucks off Japan anyways.

Admirals and Generals are collectively known as Flag Officers, at least in some nations, so you could use that single term for both categories.

Wow, things can really get out of hand, can’t they? First of all, I stand corrected, but only to a point. What I mean by that is, Baron, you are correct, all planes would be defending, therefore they would be in the air to begin with. What I was still trying to address is the statement, Cannot carry plane when damaged. That is still incorrect. If say A British carrier has one British and one American fighter on it and is in the attacking force, and it is the British turn, then the American fighter of course would not participate in the attack. It would be relegated to sitting on deck, and if the carrier is subsequently damaged, the American fighter would still be on deck, not able to take off on the American turn. Again I am addressing Cannot carry plane, not anything else.

You were right about this statement, it was too absolute and didn’t accurately describe OOB rule.
That is why I answered by adding the point on friendly aircrafts trapped in a carrier.
But, if your carrier is damaged, it is not possible to trap your own aircrafts inside.
This last point wasn’t clear, especially when subs only are attacking @2 first strike carriers with no destroyer escorting. I returned to the rulebook to be sure about it.

Baron, I have to disagree with you on the cannot carry plane when damaged statement. They cannot launch or receive planes after being damaged, but if for example a loaded carrier was surprise attacked by a sub and only damaged and not sunk, then I believe the plane(s) would be trapped on the carrier until such time as it was repaired or sunk.

Talking OOB rules, …

On offense, only friendly plane(s) carried on board is/are trapped if the carrier was damaged in combat.

It was something like this, that I had in mind.  :-D

1.2.6 French Foreign Legion (France only)
Build on: 1 Légion Étrangère per turn may be built in any (Free) French territory under infantry placement rules.
Specialty: Légion Étrangère can enter deserts. Once it enters or leaves a desert its movement stops for that turn. In a desert it can only be attacked by aircraft.

The above rule is a rule which can be used with World at War. I use the Airfix Foreign Legion miniatures of scale 1:72. Besides these all my heavy infantry are from Atlantic, Revel, Airfix, Esci, Odemars and others.

They painted all their Revised pieces. Looks awesome doesn’t it. I also have political rules. You can use the Roco Leaders of the second world war figures in scale 1:87. Hard to find, because they were destroyed in the USA, because it contained Nazi figures such as Goering and Hitler. It also contains Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin and Mussolini.
As you can read in the rule, the Global War map has deserts. It also has mountains and rivers. There are oil producing countries. You can use the provisions from Axis and Allies Battle of the Bulge as oil markers if you wish to make a house rule out of it. There is too much I could write here. I am working on the latest rule version and at the moment very busy finishing my first year at school, so more info will follow later. Sorry I don’t have a link to the Global War. If anyone can provide such a link I would be grateful.
