    Yes, it’s a friendly neutral so it’s a walk in during non-combat movement.  The NO says Japan can’t ATTACK FIC!!!

    They wrote the NO in Triple A “has not occupied FIC” but I looked at the rules in the stickied thread and they just have the additional NO’s, so I would think no change to the original NO.

    The NO in the rulebook says “has not attacked FIC”.  But I maybe do remember some discussion about Vichy and FIC and the NO and I don’t remember what the conclusion was.

    The whole Vichy thing is a crackpot idea IMO

    I am getting too old to remember all these rules and using them to your advantage makes a big difference, obviously, in the final outcome…we are way beyond the KISS principle here.


  • No problem, Adam is answering my question in the forums.  I think he’s saying I was right (you can get the +2 and take control of FIC) but I just asked again to make sure that’s what he means.

    But you’re right, “little” things like +2 and control of FIC 1 turn earlier (and denying me a walkin) have a significant effect!  If you control FIC you have the option of building an IC there J3!

    Anyway, you know me, I want to play according to the rules even if it benefits my opponent.  I’m not an ends justifies the means kind of guy.  It’s not the destination but the journey!

    I can’t remember all these quirky Vichy rules either.  I was writing some of these BM rules down in my notes, but I didn’t jot this one down.  I guess I will now

  • Ooh, I must have told you wrong in game 1 - I was just re-reading the Vichy rules for the 20th time and saw a sentence that says fly-over restrictions applicable to other neutrals do not apply to Vichy territories.  This after it says that “Vichy French territory operates the same way as other pro-Axis Neutral territory”

    I still can’t figure out what happens if I liberate South France.

    I hate the Vichy ruleset, and I hate how Adam always defends everything he does like he can do no wrong.
