Russia scrambled 1 fighter into SZ 115 from Leningrad, during that same turn Germany attacked and took Leningrad. What happens to the fighter in SZ 115?
The thing is, those scenarios are far more unlikely than having defenseless transports, so if you’re playing with new players you’ll have to explain the “infinite dice” rule far more frequently than those stupid fake loopholes, which means the same amount of time is lost. I personally have only experienced those two scenarios you described maybe 10 times (probably less) in the 50-100 games I’ve played in my life (of all variants!)
If you have to explain someone that if there is only 1 side throwing dice they will win then you should not play those persons to begin with.
Blitz is just a name for a first move “into a hostile, unoccupied territory”. Page 27 of the pac rulebook. Since your first move isn’t into a hostile territory, its not a blitz, Mr. Pain is correct, I believe.
China can’t be convoyed, but you should be able to convoy 3 IPC’s from Russia.
Thanks for the rule quotation.
This means that it is not possible for Russia to be convoyed from SZ 19 via Manchuria (which would become a chinese liberated TT) but only SZ 6 via Korea (3 IPCs).
Thanks, guys. I have played some G40 1st edition/Alpha a few years ago, but I haven’t played any A&A since then, so my memory of the rules is a bit rusty. Did subs have 2 attack, 1 defense in G40 1st edition? I recall that they used to have 2 attack, 2 defense at some point…
Transports may not attack without being accompanied by at least 1 unit with an attack value, unless they are conducting an amphibious assault from a friendly sea zone that is free of enemy submarines.
This should read “Transports may not attack in a sea battle without being accompanied by at least 1 unit with an attack value.”
