:-o WOW I’d say! I wasn’t sure you would send the bombers to 110, but I guess it gives Russia a chance to heal their factories. Were my Russian fighter purchases a deterent? Just curious?
A 1 bomber on 1 fighter SBR is a negative expected value. I couldn’t get in any escorts. It would have been 3 on 4 and I didn’t like the idea that the USSR IPCs were worth that much more than the German ones.
So yes, your Russian fighters were a major deterrent.
I also knew that the sub in 109 was trapped and needed to attempt a breakout.
Not sure if you would have scrambled the French fighter instead - you can edit that.
Thanks for the analysis. I was trying to come up with some counter to the devastating turn 1 attack and subsequent bombing runs. I sacrificed ground units but it also takes a couple turns before you can bomb and escort so I figured it was worth the risk. The escorts are the key. Also I keep getting test rolls from you. Not a big deal just letting you know. I will look at the fighter thing later tonight. Thanks.
