Bri replaced the 2 figs that went to Gib, plus added another and a sub. The U.S. added 2 dd and a sub. Not enough to guarantee survival, but I didn’t want to use up a dd every turn to block the Ger navy. I could have not moved Bri figs to Gib and then could have bought more ships instead of replacement figs. Maybe Ger will find a better use for the bombers in St Pete.

Oops, I just realized that 2 figs from St Pete can join the battle by landing on the cv. If you use every available plane from St Pete, you will definitely win.

My reference to LL in Mos was Ger T9 when 8 Rus inf inflicted 4 hits vs LL of 3. The Rus counterattack definitely was lucky dice for me.

No scramble. You were able to use planes that could only land cv’s that were being built this turn. You did that to me last game and I didn’t think of it here. Roll 1st round

I applied the two sub hits to the cvs of course. beside that, 11 hits to assign

OOL all the US and Bri dd’s subs and sink the cv’s makes 11.

If I had used a dd to block the Ger fleet, bat calc would have been 50% without the Ger fleet or the 2 planes that could have landed on the cv. Don’t know how I could have built more than Ger each turn to change the situation.

I concede. Even tho the allies have slightly more cash, units and TUV, Ger and Jpn each have massive air that the US can’t overcome. Playing thru the mid-game gave me some experience that I didn’t have with global bal mod. But at this point, I’d prefer to put that experience to use in a rematch. I’m sure that I could do better as the allies next time. I see how Jpn can defend it’s homeland with a few specific units and that Phil controls the entire area and can use kamikazi, so one big fleet there is a simple plan; and that sz 36 is hard for the allies to reach. Now I just have to take out China and not lose the Ger capital. Do you have a preference for which side you want to play and which game version? Global bal mod works for me, but I would consider others.

I never played the roman game vs ABH. Only Lord of the Rings, which he defeated me in both times. It’s really much more simple than you’d expect and I find both the old version and new fun to play.
