If using my “Operation Valkyrie” scenario (http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=30059.0), all SS units are arrested if a zone chooses to comply with the order, and are removed from play until the scenario is resolved. If a zone stays loyal or converts back to loyal, the units are moved back onto the map.

What I’m wondering about this rule is: exactly who would arrest the Waffen SS?  The police?  By 1944, the police forces in Germany were pretty much under the control of the Nazi Party, if not actual branches of the SS and the Gestapo.  The Wehrmacht?  Since the Waffen SS are elite military units, I’m not sure why they’d quietly lay down their arms and agree to be arrested by the regular army without a fight, especially following the assassination of Hitler by high-ranking army officers.

This is why in my Operation Valkyrie rule, there is a caveat that each zone can decide whether to comply with the order. In the actual event, the Wehrmacht did indeed manage to neutralize the SS in some areas. From wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1944_Adolf_Hitler_assassination_attempt):

If you read my rule, it states that if the assassination is successful, the remaining SS units will absolutely fight those allied with the responsible army officers.

Haven’t done the research on this, but I’m just throwing it out there.

What if the Axis powers together needed a total of 12 VC, instead of 8 in Europe, or 6 in Pacific? Also, Allies only need to capture 2 Capitals to win.

After several more games, that have all ended with my winning, My friends and I have decided to add a number of objectives, and an alliance system to it, to give them game a bit more of a purpose. We have several New national objectives for each of the countries, and we have written up 24 global objectives for players to accomplish to win the game. The thought is to give each player 2 or 3 global objectives and this is what they have to do to win the game. We are going to be spending all friday night and saturday day play testing these out. God Help me!  :wink:

Anyone given any thought to playing AA:Pacific and integrating the AA:50 ruleset?  By this I mean:

1. 1942/AA:50 unit costs and stats
2. 1942/AA:50 sub and transport rules

However the specific Pacific rules could stay in force:

1. USA Marines
2. Air Bases / Sea Ports
3. Japanese destroyers can transport 1 infantry
4. Unlimited builds in Hawaii and Japan

There is little conflict except in regards to SBR, where it would have to be decided which ruleset would be used for SBR, and if SBR would still affect the Japanese VP.

Any thoughts from you geniuses on how this would affect the Pacific game?  Better yet has anyone actually TRIED it?

Well that explains that.  I wish there was some really easy way to create a good hex map.  Have not found out how to do that yet.
