Fickle dice went against Italy this turn. I knew attacking Bri in Tob was a gamble that I could lose planes. But I outnumbered and had more power than Bri, yet I hit 1/5 and Bri hit 3/3. Worse, my surviving fig had to land in Libya. I have to edit the bomber to retreat to Italy.

Italian attack on S. Fra was just to weaken it, so Fra couldn’t: add its fig to make S. Fra expensive for Ger, which has no inf to attack it with; or attack Norm w/aid of the fig. And there was the chance Italy could have won.

A while back I read an old post about building an IC in Romania, probably not for Global. But I haven’t actually seen any game where it was done. Have you?

I’ve built a major there face-to-face once and i’ve considered a minor but have never went ahead with it.

Usually I would buy a total of 10 mechs/tanks to place in Germany on G2. They can make it to the Russian front for the G3 DoW. I have only seen a major factory purchase for Romania, allowing a large number of infantry+artillery to push to the front. A minor factory just takes too long to have any advantage over simply purchasing fast movers in Germany.
In the balance mod, the time is ticking on the Axis clock. The Allies get a significant income boost later in the game so patience no longer is no longer a good plan for Germany. Moscow is much more difficult to capture in BM, and driving troops down to Egypt usually gets problematic after reaching NW Persia.

When I play Europe, I always build armor and mech on T2 in Ger. But in Global, Rus gets more cash from the start, so I am trying something different. The combo of that and the IC in Rom are probably not a good idea.

Also, new is not taking FIC by T2 and not building trans on T1. Probably won’t wait this long again. There are so many iterations that it will take me more live games to figure out what I’m more comfortable with, and it’s not this opening for Japan. Building IC in China is good, which is why I waited on FIC, but could have done both.
