Why don’t you try starting a local game in 1.9 then SA?

Of if you want to load one from the forum, my league game against AetV is version 1.9

I still noticed one issue which is that the arrows don’t show when I move my units. Good info showing unit moves, etc.  However, when the AI moves arrows are drawn on the map, so I not sure what the issues is here.  Maybe somebody has come across this before?

Strange - I have never heard of that before… sorry.

One idea though… start TripleA and hit “Engine Preferences”.
After that hit “Set Look and Feel”.
Try another scheme and see if your problem still occurs then…

Figured it out.

Yes, these are two different files.

java.exe is the application that is allowed to use/access the console while javaw.exe is the “console-less” Windows application.
Or in other words java.exe targets the CONSOLE subsystem while javaw.exe targets the WINDOWS subsystem.

TripleA definitely uses javaw.exe to access the web.
So java.exe won’t help you out here.

when I hacked it…
I got it to run 600x480 but it wasn’t a real windowed mode per say
it just wasn’t full screen…

the problem that I had with this windowed mode was that the color pallete was all messed up
