    Right after ending combat move and clicking done, I realized that my sub>sub wouldn’t work, since you could submerge.  I saved gave after I pressed done, but should have saved before.  Edit says I can’t because unit in process of moving.  I will add units to one battle and figure out what to do with the battle where units are to be transferred from.


  • I would only Sea Lion in BM games is London had an extremely bad first round and refused to build any defense in the capitol.  Bombing London on G2 makes it easier, but I still hate to face such a rich Russian opponent.

    I had to load Rus4 and redo my combat moves, as I couldn’t edit the changes.  Japan is in good shape for now and pressing China and India.  Still upset that I lost Japan in the first game, as the Axis position in Europe was very good.

    I concede.  I learned enough from J4 and Ger would have to have a great die roll to destroy the Rus army in E. Pol.  If I had upgraded inf to art instead of building a dd last turn, my battle odds would have increased from 11% to 41%, assuming Ger figs were available for the battle.  I will start a new Global 1940 BM later.

    Ok good game. I dont think i will be able to move or make the scramble decisions today. I’ve never seen Rus with so much cash and i dont see how you could recover paired with early Allied European landings.


  • One tip for BM games: get a second factory for Japan in mainland Asia.  You are going to need many ground units to push back China and then turn your attention to capturing India.  It is much tougher in BM than in normal games because of the garrison rule.

    ABH, I’m considering a factory in Kiangsu on T1 or T2.  Altho, Japan has a big army in Yunnan on T4 in the game that just ended.  India had to pull back and China would have had to also.  With Rus army gone, Japan is sliding Manchur troops south.  I couldn’t afford to build in 2 ICs until Japan got more revenue.  So an IC in Kia would work if I delayed taking FIC to get the ten N.O. PUs.


  • I usually build a factory in Kiansu on J1 so that mechs and tanks can hit Kwangtun if you do a J3 DoW.  I then tend to build a factory on J4 if I do a typical opening.  Land units can be more important than building up a large navy.  It is extremely tough to play Japan once you lose China since you will never get it back with the BM garrison rules.  Having a stack of 20 Chinese soldiers munching up your garrisoned troops is painful to watch!
