Rus ground troops just want to claim Iraq for points and block southern invasion long enough for Bri IC to take over. Rus realizes that it has fewer troops than Ger, short-term. USA subs will impact Axis quicker than a few carriers with few trans. Will require Axis to build dd to use air against subs, and those dd can be counterattacked by USA air and sunk by hordes of USA subs. Trying new approach, we’ll see if its more effective short-term until USA war bucks kick in.

I see what your plan for Ger trans in S. Fra is. With only 1 inf available, convoy to Egypt to claim N.O. That’s why I usually used to have Ger take S. Fra. Ger taking Gib is a waste, since Ita already has the N.O. and USA can easily take Gib later and USA subs can go thru Gib anyway. The Ger trans will be sunk, but the N.O. keeps on giving.

I’m so used to the slow pace of Ger into Rus, that I overlooked the size of your mobile units. I had considered placing 2 inf in E Pol. Big mistake not to pull back to Bry last turn or place another inf in E Pol.

In every round of every Rus battle, Rus rolled below average and the defender rolled better than or equal to the odds. Ger sub def of 1, hit. I used minimum units to win in Baltic and under hit every round. Neutral inf hit 2/3 1st round and 1/1 2nd round. If I lose this game, it won’t be because of bidding, it will be not blocking Ita into E Pol with more troops.
