    Nuts, I thought my subs and scrambled figs would overpower the Bri amphib.  But I overlooked that Bri can ignore subs and go beyond and also that the Bri bombers can land where USA took over.  Otherwise, I would have loaded up Ger

    I concede.  Ger put more ground units into Rus and attacked 1 turn earlier. But Bri strangled Ita and was free to build ICs and rush air and ground units to save Rus by T6, much earlier than I’ve seen before and in significant numbers.  Bri fleet to Gib & airport. and consolidate Egypt and pick off isolated Ita in Africa, seems to be unstoppable, ideal opening.  Bri must commit to protecting Gib with figs.  Ita needs PUs from S. Fra, but Ger has the resources to build fleet in S. Fra, altho it would require a big investment.  Forum discussions suggest Ger build IC in Rom.  Rus key is concentrate in Bry  Novg is Ger N.O., but it’s far from the rest of Rus  Ukr is 2 spaces from Moscow, Staingrad and Cau, so Ger must take it to build & threaten multiple locations at once.  Ita N.O.s offer lots of potential, but it’s limited initial PUs and vulnerability to Bri attack, and inability to supplement army in Africa, means a good Bri strategy always seems to win.

    Yes,scramble 3 figs sz110, none in sz111.  Don’t normally, but since you just used 1 sub, the odds are close.  Ger 7 units 7 hit pts 24 attack. Bri.
    6 units 7 hit pts 22 defense.  If we trade hits, becomes 50/50 remainder. It’s a gamble.  With figs from scot and gib, I could intercept bomb raid next turn.    Ool, tilt bb, Fr cr, Bri cr, Fr fig, Bri figs Bb 2nd hit last.  If I win, bb repairs before next Axis turn.
