    If casualty choice is not obvious, please consult. That applies especially in Naval / Air battles where subs will be left to fight for the attacking side.

    In 111, after hitting only once against your 2 subs, that would leave 1 sub for a sneak attack the following round which could kill the battleship first strike. The best I could hope for by saving the battleship is to kill of a 6 IPC unit with 2/3*2/3 probability.

    Makes total sense to keep the fighter at that point in the battle, so that way the sub can’t fight any longer. That way, I have a 2/3 chance of killing a 10 IPC unit.

    At that point, you also could choose to retreat since you would risk losing a plane instead of losing a sub.

    Given where things are at, two options:

    1. Since I pick the battleship as a casualty, we assume you would retreat (don’t want to lose planes) and we restore the fighter and the sub on the map. I believe the sub would end up in 111 because it “won” the naval battle but we would have to double check on this.

    2. We assume you don’t retreat but we have to keep the battleship roll for the fighter, meaning that I would hit one of your planes. That would involve leaving the fighter in 111 but removing a fighter from the board.

    On last sentence, I mean leaving the sub in 111

    I left the Sub where it is for now. Retreating means that it should be either sz 119 or 124 to be proper.

    Wow what an amazing roll in Yunnan. It is not happening a lot of times to me to roll that good.
