TripleA 1.9.0.0 Released

Since I’m not going to use the new version, how do I permanently remove the pop up about 2.x in the 1.9 version please?

@all - We are looking to release 1.8.0.9 shortly due to the naval retreat bug that was found and fixed. I’ve uploaded the pre-release equivalent of that and would appreciate some assistance testing various maps, game types, etc to make sure there aren’t any issues. Here is the change log:

Bug fix, retreat from naval combat was not possible, now fixed Increase scroll speed when using arrow keys. Holding down control speeds up arrow key scroll Map edge scroll zone now larger, placing map next to the very edge of the map increases scroll speed even more AI: Fixed calculating defenses on maps with air/naval bases to properly calculate enemy range AI: Fixed bug around not defending against enemy units that were transported the previous turn (they were being marked as already transported when potential enemy attacks were calculated)

TripleA is cheat-proof

That’s not entirely accurate.  There is a scenario I can think of in which some shady circumstances can occur - in a particular scenario.

It’s safer to say - Axis and Allies is cheat proof, as long as your dice are done through a server - and you pay attention to the actual game mechanics.

Well I’m mostly comparing it to Battlemap, where it would be easy to add units here or there.  If extra units are discovered, there’s no way to tell if it’s cheating or an unintended mistake.

In my experience, it’s the unintentional mistakes that most often mar Battlemap games.  Consequently, many players spend alot of time checking maps and moves for accuracy.

With TripleA the above scenarios don’t happen, because you’d have to use edit to add in units that shouldn’t be there.  And any edit is clearly visible in the game history.

Ok, I am going to give you guys some motivation to motivate ComradeKev to code the rules for Global, Europe, and Pacific 1940 into the TripleA engine.

Sorry Jennifer but i have to agree with BUBA.

First you will find the best AAA Player there, much better in the mean , then the club only players like in the DAAK or elswhere.

Secound , sync probs are very rare but even if a game chrashes , you have an Autosave. I sometimes  watch tv on my Pc or listen to the radio on my pc  beside my games and i never had any big issues with triplea.

Third , of course you can let your firewall be active, triplea works good with hard and software firewalls, just forward port 3300 (or any port other you wanna use) and you will be fine .
