There’s no chance of recovering this game. Once USA was holding Normandy I think my time was numbered.
Losing Berlin like that was unforgivable!

The TUV count was starting to be tough to overcome. Berlin expedited the end, but Japan was already in big trouble at that time and Russia was getting strong. I learned a couple new things in the last few turns, so thanks for continuing.
We can do a rematch, but I’ll need a break. Big week in front of me.
In terms of lessons learned for you, don’t neglect the German airforce and don’t divide your forces on the Eastern front.
Japan was in big trouble, yeah. Not sure how I could recover from a J1 attack on Yunnan that went quite that badly. I did screw up in the sense that I shouldn’t have sent all available my ground troops into Hunan when the Yunnan defence was that strong. I think I realised that as soon as I’d finished the J1 combats. Holding back a few units helps to push into Yunnan J2 if there’s a serious chance of the J1 attack failing.
I’ve never seen that gambit before. OOB it doesn’t quite make sense but a bid fighter swings it a lot.
I’m ready for a rematch. Same sides or switch?
