I decided to make some national reference cards for the Global40 game to help new players who joined in on my games. Basically I used PowerPoint to put as much relevant information onto the cards as possible, so they may not look as polished as some people may make them on these forums. I wanted to share these however if anyone is interested. I think I do not have enough posts yet though so I cannot post a hyperlink for people to download them. If anyone is interested ask me and I can send the google docs link so you can take a look.
Playing Global 1942 at GenCon
-
I just wanted to take a quick roll call to see who is playing Global 1942 Setup at GenCon this week. Sounds like we are going to have a bigger group compared to past years.
Global players are hard to come by for face to face matches. Maybe we can coordinate another event post GenCon.
If you’re coming please respond and include where you’re traveling from.
Look forward to seeing y’all there.
I’m traveling from Nashville, TN.

How does the Gen-Con tournament A&A work?
-
Coming from Little Rock Arkansas :-)
While I’m registered for G42 (friendly on Thursday and qaul on Friday) I’m more looking forward to the G40 pick up games

3 to 4 rounds of the tournament, single elimination, using the Global 1942 set up. Axis win by having 125 IPC’s worth of territories on the board at the end of 7 rounds. Officially there is a time limit of 8 hours, but that is due to the championship game being limited on Sunday, because the conference shuts down early.
Most agree on the front end to play the full 7 rounds.

we played to the tournament rules weekend before last. 7 turns is about what fits. 8 is possible I suppose. At least 3 of us from the KC area are coming for the G42 tournament.

Thanks for info. Will plan on coming next year.
