Triple A or Email game

I live in deer park. I have tried to put a group together to no avail. I get together w\ a few guys in albertson, but the last couple times was not great. The Achilles heal of this game is it’s time consuming. Fortunately there are ways to speed up play. One is w\ hit dice to speed up the rolling. Guys say they can’t understand it. Huh? Also lots of deliberating made it take a long time. I believe we got to round 5 in global in 9 hours. Global is a big game but that was too much time to get almost nowhere. I don’t prefer global. W\ that said, see if you have some time on weekends for a game.

@koala My son & I would have the actual board set up & Skyped the dice rolls with other parts of the turn being communicated by phone &/or Skype if both parties had wifi. Just when the next turn player was ready to do their move then we would set up a time to go for it! Hope this helps & answers your question.

We have an annual gaming session every Easter weekend and play on Thursday (March 24) and Friday (March 25). We will begin the game around noon (EST) on Thursday. One of our regular players can’t make it this year. The game is held in Ohio so I don’t expect anyone to travel although if you can that would be great. What I am proposing is that we play across the internet. My game set is a detailed custom magnetic map with painted pieces etc. The game we play is without a bid (this is subject to change based upon the player accepting) and with Technology. The Tech we play is with not discarding the tokens. This obviously creates a tech heavy game.

The way we intend to do this is have your ally transfer the game to TripleA and send you the file. Then when you post the file we will update the board. We will roll dice on our side and to make things go quickly your opponent will roll dice for you when defending. When you do your turn we will use the dice server for both your rolls and our defensive rolls. This way you can complete your turn without having to wait for our rolls in defense. Your ally is very computer savvy and an intermediate player with Global. You can discuss strategy with him in the forum post. You will most likely be playing Japan.

We can also skype so you can watch the game if you’re interested or we can send screenshots. You won’t need skype or screen shots to play but my game board is very unique and so are the pieces. Every technology has a separate piece to identify it. If you have a passion for Axis and Allies I think you will want to see the board.
The person we are looking for should have the following criteria:
•Must respond to moves quickly. Although we will have downtime we need someone who can be committed to replying to the posts as quickly as possible. We will inform you of breaks that we take.
•Someone who is experienced at playing. Having played league games and being familiar with TripleA is a must.

I am new here. I am a very experienced A&A player. I played about 3 games about 15 years ago.  8-)
I have no idea what version it was.

Anyway, I wuold like to play again. And it seems TripleA is the most convenient way. I would like to play Revised since reading some posts this has the best map, one of the most even starting positions and due to the new units the most (or next to most) diverse posibilities for strategical choices.

So would anybody like to play vs me?

Disclaimer. I am a father and I will not do a turn each day. Probably about three turns a week.

Hey doc I may have a group that can meld with yours, we play mainly AA we just got the new global setup so let me know.

Play regular axis & allies revised edition board game using latest Larry Harris Tournament rules. Have 2-3 solid adult players have 5 at times. Can travel if needed. Like to make a day of it and have flexible schedules.  Thanks let us know. Reply here or nonox9@hotmail.com
