Lol not quite the result you were hoping for I imagine.

yah i think let’s just call it a game. i gambled here and wow that’s a huge loss. i know i’ve also had some good luck in this game, but honestly if you look carefully in the last few rounds you’ll see how so many of your defense rolls are hitting, it’s ridiculous.
anyway well played gg. i think i’m done with aa for a while. i can’t seem to compete and then i make bad decisions like this.
-
Good game.
You think Allies couldn’t reasonably win here?
What about XDAP?

yah i’ll do xdap, that’s usually slow-paced anyway.
well allies aren’t without chances, but i’m just frustrated. lots of examples…just last japanese round for example, none of my 3 chinese inf hit in yunnan, my us & anz dd’s missed against just your planes (whenever i try that against you i get punished), and kiangsi missed. my french dd hit so that was the exception. then when i hit back with china i get screwed. and it’s been like that the last few rounds mostly, with only some exceptions (like bryansk). and then this b.s. in moscow.

anyway it was a stupid decision on my part, even tho i had odds on you, my russian planes are more valuable than your ita planes. it was just a gamble pure and simple.

Yeah I’d prefer you intercept.

Hmm looks premature to me to call that game due to 2 Russian fighters.
Allies are still ahead 400 TUV, 16 IPC and have 60 units more on the map.
Additionally there are 60+ units in India and China, so Axis is still away from a dominant position.Re dice: Germans lost everything but 6 tanks in Fra. This makes usually a big difference for the whole Barbarossa und you smartly exploited that fact by bothering Germany with the early liberation of France.
Anyway, gg both, fun to watch.

Thank you JDOW. Yah there were several factors to my irrational decision. I was frustrated by string of bad luck I was getting in the small battles that were adding up, then I made a stupid intercept decision and of course that went really bad. But beyond that, there are two more points. Adam really is about the best player out there, a true master at the game. Any significant mistake like that is going to have lasting consequences and it’ll be next to impossible to recover from. Allies were still up economically but it’s been a difficult struggle to keep it that way, and with allies locked out of Europe with his impressive defenses and Russia’s situation really tight and vulnerable, such a mistake was just too costly. The other point is that whenever I play Adam, the game becomes so intense to the point I neglect everything else in my life lol. We both move very fast and the game gets complicated. I find myself with lots of battle calc windows open each turn lol. So when I see myself slipping behind or get diced or make a critical error, I usually will prefer to just end it so I can get back to my normal life. But I absolutely do love our games together, I just feel like I’m having a hard time competing with him. I will have to regroup and figure out a better approach.
My plan going forward in this game was to build up the Middle East further and pick away at the German position in cauc (drawing away from Russian’s), while renewing an offensive drive in the Atlantic, to try to put more pressure on Normandy Norway Berlin etc. would be a slow process. I was also starting to catch up with Japan’s navy too.
