Thank you for your input and play tests. Thinking for the money I might just drop troops and planes and start marching lol. If I could just get a few tanks behind Russia or into the middle east it would make for some entertainment.

Yes. They would all become Allied friendly.

Threatening a counterattack (ie artillery in Bryansk) makes them stop for a turn to bring up reinforcements.

I use this strategy every time I play Russia.  In additon I build Mech Inf. in Calcutta so as to link up with Chinese and Russian forces as quick as possible.

If they hold up the gaps, they are defensive in a sense.  I like them to get back from the coast, consolidate and crawl back to Moscow or threaten Japanese gains in the north.  I don’t like a straight run back unless Germany skips sea lion for a pure barbarossa

Wow, I never even noticed that before. But I dont have any of the green Japanese cruisers. Very strange.

Mexico isn’t worth 3 now, much less back in the 1940s
