Germany did not try to beat Poland; they are keeping their options open for the tournament.

Hodgson is already on plan C - throw on every forward on the bench and hump it into the penalty area.

Hodgson kept a losing team in Brazil, and lost again.

Today he changed a winning team, and failed miserably.

Why did he do it?  To show how clever he is in bringing along cart horses like Henderson and sick boys like Wilshire.

Thrown away a golden chance to make the semis and will now have to face France in the quarters.

This (England vs France) will be heck of a game and I wish England all the luck they need.

Italy-Spain: not expected.
I can watch it though; is an evening I do not open.
If we beat them, after two tournament  losses, I will be celebrating for a long time (years, perhaps).

Italy will be kicking themselves for winning the first two games when it would have been better to finish 2nd in the group. Also felt like Germany were hoping for Poland to score another goal and move above them!

Del Bosque should have stuck with Cassillias, or changed keepers much earlier.
