I didn’t notice but you can also scramble because of the amphibious assault. I’m going to assume you’d rather intercept. I had a few other units to bring in - two Tacs. I’ll assume they moved in for the NCM.

I undid the naval combat move. Only did it in the combat movement because I didn’t want the bombardment from the BB but did want the cruiser. Pretty sure that should be an NCM anyway.

You could have rolled the first round of the subs.
If the subs hit once or twice in the first round, lose DDs. If the DDs hit, lose planes starting with the tac. Unless the subs have all missed.
This is actually a bug in Triple-A. When I have a DD I should be able to see all the dice before needing to select casualties because the surprise strike is nullified and the subs then first with all the other units.
