Sorry, I've been away!

I am not sure Napoleon was ever really himself after the Russian campaign. What he expected after his victory at Borodino and what really turned out was very different. Expecting the Russians to surrender only having them chase him all the way back to France may have put some doubt in his mind. Maybe that doubt is what affected his decisions at a place like Waterloo. I know in sports that if you loose your confidence it can be hard to get back. I imagine the same could be said about war generals. Just a thought. Enjoyed the post.

Ok.  I watched the clip.

Not a something I’m interested in.

Rock climbing, parachuting, etc are not that interesting to me.  I suspect I have had enough honest to God close calls in life that I don’t go looking for them as part of my entertainment.  None of those activities compare to the rush of taking enemy fire.  Willingly going into a combat zone knowing that your job is to perform a specified task regardless of whether you live to come home is enough of an adrenaline rush for me.

Add the lack of boobies and it just does not draw my interest.

Just finished the sequel to God’s Debris, entitled “The Religion War”. And all i can say is !!! i loved it. outstanding. Adams has really posed some interesting questions, in a fascinating and entertaining way. even more interesting, he makes clear that the ideas are not his own (not entirely, at least, they may be partially). what can i say about religion war?
Religion War:God’s Debris::Kill Bill Vol. 2:Kill Bill Vol. 1. you can read it alone, but i suggest you read both. both are outstanding. and both are pertinent to having an interesting discussion. so i suggest after you read God’s Debris, if you are interested in a discussion about any of the topics, read The Religion War. unfortunately, it is not a free ebook. it will cost you, but not much, and its worth it. i highly reccomend it.
